The spring .
I look forward to it when it gets warmer and greener outside. I would also be ready for the first cup of coffee on the balcony, walks without thick jackets and of course for more daylight. I’m sure some of you feel the same way. Unfortunately, it still takes a few weeks until spring arrives, so today I have a few ideas on DIY spring decorations with flowers that we can use to sweeten the waiting time a bit.
MAKE SPRING DECORATIONS WITH FLOWERS YOURSELF
The beautiful ranunculus and bell jar are allowed to start. A glass bell with a wooden base has been on my wish list for a long time. Unfortunately it took me a while to find one that I really like. The great thing about glass bells is that you can use them for many things. Here I have combined it with my favorite flower – ranunculus. You can of course also use a flower bulb or small plants. By the way, on the picture you can see my new ceiling lamp. I am really very happy to have found this lamp, because previously there was a lightbulb hanging in this place that you could not really call beautiful.
The second decoration idea is also very easy to imitate. Combine a large glass flower vase with long-stemmed flowers in spring-like colors. To spice things up a little, you can paint the glass vase with a porcelain pen, but please do not burn it in. Since the vase is not burned in after painting, you can undo the change at any time. A round in the dishwasher is usually sufficient.
Did you discover the wooden floor of the bell jar here? I used it here as a coaster for my favorite cup. I say yes, the decorative glass bell is super versatile …
My decoration on the dining table is usually rather minimalistic. For everyday life, I just find it more pleasant when the table is not so clutterly decorated. Even if the motto “less is more” applies here, the table decorations do not necessarily have to be boring.
Here I have combined a glass bowl with the brightly colored carnations and coarse decorative sand. So that the decorative bowl doesn’t look lost on the large table, it is written on the wooden letter X (the instructions for this are also available here on the blog). The whole thing is rounded off with an LED light chain made of wire.
Tip: The glass bowl would also look great in a macrame hanging basket.
Lastly, I’ll show you my favorite. This decorative house literally screams for spring, if only because of the tulips. Actually, this metal house with the glasses is intended for tea lights. But as you can see here, the glasses are also suitable as vases. The self-made pennant chains are, so to speak, the icing on the cake.
And so you can imitate them:
- First you cut out small triangles from the drawing paper.
- Then you have to apply a thin strip of glue to one side of the triangle. Put the thread on it. You do that for all triangles.
- When the glue is dry, you can turn the pennant chain over, then either write on it with a white pen or you can use letter stickers. Hang it up and you’re done!
Tip: Did you know that tulips continue to grow in the vase? So not only the flowers of the tulips get bigger (as with almost all cut flowers) but also the stems. Sometimes even up to 10 cm. You should keep this in mind if you want to make a mixed bouquet with tulips.
